• Hear Their Cries - Religious Responses to Child Abuse: produced by the "Center for the Prevention of Sexual and Domestic Violence" , an interreligious educational ministry out of Seattle Washington. An award winning educational video on the role of clergy and lay leaders in ending child abuse. 48 minutes. Includes a 24 page study guide and a package of awareness brochures. • Bless Our Children - Preventing Sexual Abuse: produced by the "Center for the Prevention of Sexual and Domestic Violence". A companion to Hear Their Cries. It is the story of one congregation's efforts to include sexual abuse prevention in their children's religious education. 40 minutes. Includes a 24 page study guide and a package of awareness brochures. • Reducing the Risk of Child Sexual Abuse in your Church: James F. Cobble, Jr., Richard R. Hammar, Steven W. Klipowicz (Church Law and Tax Report published by Christian Ministry Resources, P.O. Box 1098, Matthews, NC 28106. Phone 704-841-8066). A kit that includes six training videos on DVD, a reference book containing helpful information on each key topic, and a training manual with detailed lesson plans on how to use the kit in your church. A great resource to help church leaders develop and implement a comprehensive risk reduction program. • Safekeeping - Session Plans for Developing Abuse Awareness in Kids. A two session curriculum written from a faith prospective. Designed to equip kids with an awareness of abuse and provide strategies to deal with potentially dangerous situations. Although structured much like Walk With Me (WWM) curriculum, this is a stand alone course with two sessions at each of the WWM age levels. It can be used with any church school curriculum. • Heggen, Carolyn Holderread. Sexual Abuse in Christian Homes and Churches (Harold Press, Waterloo, ON and Scottsdale, PA. 519-747-5722 in Waterloo - may no longer be in print). This book by a psychotherapist specializing in sexual abuse confronts harsh realities. But Dr. Heggen also offers hope that confronting broken sexuality will bring healing - for survivors of abuse, for perpetrators, for the church.
• Jansen, Melanie. From the Darkest Night: Meditations for Abuse Survivors (Grand Rapids, MI: Faith Alive Christian Resources, 2001). Meditations that help survivors and those who lover them walk through the painful questions they have about God and the church. A resource also for individuals, counselors and support groups.

• Yantzi, Mark. Sexual Offending and Restoration (Harold Press, Waterloo, ON and Scottsdale, PA. 519-747-5722 in Waterloo). Provides new methods for dealing with the pervasive problem of sexual abuse. He shows caring ways to confront and support those who have offended. Mark also calls for understanding and compassion toward those victimized by wrongdoing. A unique approach illustrated through case examples and candid dialogues by a group of victims and those who have offended.
