Structure and Mandate of the Classis Hamilton Home Missions Committee.

 Approved, Tuesday May 20, 2003 Classis meeting

1. The Structure of the Committee:

   1. ordinarily shall be composed of six members and one alternate.
   2. two of the members shall be active ministers within Classis.
   3. one member shall be a Classis Delegate to the Board of Christian Reformed Home Missions (CRHM).
   4. Regional Director of CRHM will serve as advisor and resource person.
       
2. The Mandate of the Committee:
   1. to promote, encourage and facilitate co-operation between Churches of Classis to stimulate our work of evangelism and community outreach.
   2. to promote, co-operate and assist in initializing and/or securing funding for initiatives to plant new churches within Classis.
   3. to work in partnership with the Board of CRHM regarding new and continuing mission opportunities within Classis.
   4. to appoint one member to serve as contact for new and emerging churches, one member to serve as contact with the Campus Ministry Committee and one member to serve as contact with the Classis Diaconal Conference.
       
3. The committee shall report at every Classis meeting.
